Another Korea?

What years were the Korean War again? Do you remember? Sometime in the 50's, the US went to Korea. No one ever told me a good story about it. Maybe Korea was kind of like Iraq is now?

Is the US 'War on Terror' a conflict we will remember proudly? Or will we have a hard time remembering it in another 50 years?
